We’re Buzzing with Excitement for Pollinator Week
#Pollinatorweek is almost here! Together with the Little Red Wagon Native Nursery, Tampa Bay Butterfly Foundation and the Pollinator Partnership, we’re getting ready to celebrate.
We’ll also be working to raise awareness about many of our native pollinators which include bees, butterflies, moths, flies, bats, birds and more. Our events kick off on Monday, June 20 with a virtual Pollinator Party 2022 and continue all week long with special guest speakers, stimulating discussions, and hands-on exhibits.

Can’t make it? Download a great resource that explains the importance of pollinators. This guide also lists over 50 plants (and the time of year they bloom) to attract pollinators. You can easily use it to ensure your garden has nectar sources year round. (Missing some months? Why not see if we have a suitable plant in stock by searching here.)
Another great place to get information is Florida Wildlfower Foundation, which has an interesting series of articles entitled “Know your native pollinators.”
Finally, the Florida Museum has some very interesting information on the way plants woo pollinators and some of our lesser known pollinators.
But really, we do hope you can make it to at least one of our sessions. We’d really love to see you. Remember, together we can #NurtureNative.
