This perennial is an aquatic member of the carrot family, grows to about 2-3 feet tall and blooms white flowers in late summer to early fall. It requires moist to very wet conditions and can be grown in a container. This plant is one of the many Florida native water plants in our newly planted Koi pond at the nursery. When blooming the black swallowtail will lay eggs on it - another host plant for the beautiful black swallowtail.
