Parsley Hawthorn (Crataegus marshallii) is a tree that may grow to 25 feet. It blooms showy, white flowers in the spring with red fruit that ripens by fall and may remain until winter. Birds and other wildlife will consume the fruit. This tree will tolerate full sun, part to full shade and prefers wet loam or sand with acidic to circum-neutral pH. It is the larval host for the Striped Hairstreak butterfly, Hummingbird Clearwing moth and Blinded Sphinx moth.
