Everglades Tomato (Solanum pimpinellifolium) is a shrub-like plant that will sprawl to approximately 10 feet; you may want to use a trellis for support. It prefers full sun and while it is drought tolerant, it does best with moderate watering. Varieties include red and yellow. The size of the tomatoes will be approximately 1/2 inch in diameter but it's flavor is pleasantly intense. It will bloom all year long in alkaline soil, brackish water and is resistant to some fungal diseases and late blight.
