Sea Oxeye Daisy (Borrichia frutescens) is a long-lived evergreen shrub that may grow 2-4 feet tall with a spread of 2-3 feet. Plant it in full sun, moist to wet soil with a high pH. It produces brilliant yellow flowers year round but more flowers in spring and summer. It also produced a black fruit. Birds and small mammals love the seeds. This is a great nectar source for so many butterflies such as the Great Southern White, Gulf Fritillary, Statira Sulphur and many salt marsh skippers. Bees and other pollinators also really enjoy the flowers!
Another great salt-tolerant Florida native!
