Sea Oats (Uniola paniculata) is a long-lived perennial grass that may grow 4-6 feet tall and will spread, producing yellow flowers and brown fruit. Plant it in full sun, well-drained sandy soil with neutral pH. This hurricane resistant plant spreads aggressively via rhizomes. Birds and other wildlife will eat the seeds.
