Beach-bean (Canavalia rosea) is a long-lived evergreen perennial with pink to lavender flowers. It is a fast-growing, sun-loving groundcover used for dune stabilization that is approximately 1/2 to 1 foot tall with a spread of 40 feet wide. This plant produces green, to brown fruit and prefers full sun. A nice groundcover in sandy areas and is fast growing. It is very salt tolerant and its showy flowers attracts bees and other pollinators.
