Burr Marigold (Bidens mitis) grow to about 2-3' and can be considered an annual or perennial depending on weather. They are found throughout most of Florida except the deep southern part of the state. The bright yellow flowers bloom in late spring through fall but can bloom throughout the year depending on weather. This plant is a herbaceous wetland flower that thrives best in full sun but can tolerate partial sun. Burr Marigolds are not only found in freshwater systems but also brackish waters along the coast. These plants need a lot of water and very little foot traffic when put in a home landscape.
