Carolina Jasmine (Gelsemium sempervirens), also known as Yellow Jessamine and Carolina jessamine, is a fast-growing vine that may reach up to 20 feet. It's fragrant yellow flowers will bloom from January to spring. While it will tolerate partial shade, plant it in full sun for maximum flowering. Arbors, trellises, and pergolas will help support this showy vine. Keep the soil moist but well-drained. It is drought tolerant and deer resistant.
Note: It's sap can irritate skin and all parts of the plant contain toxins which are poisonous.
