Dune flower is a perennial shrub that can grow to approximately 1-2.5 ft high and 2-8 feet wide. It produces yellow flowers and requires full sun to thrive. It is salt tolerant, aggressively self-seeds and prefers well-drained sandy soil. Once established, it is drought tolerant and this showy groundcover provides a protective thicket for small birds and animals. It is a great nectar source for pollinators.
