Fiddlewood (Citharexylum spinosum) is an evergreen tree with fragrant, white showy flowers. It can grow 15-25 feet tall to 12 feet wide. The fruit is orange when young and turns brown after it matures. Fiddlewood tolerates full sun to partial shade with moist to dry soil. It is the host plant for the Fiddlewood Leafroller/Seagrape Moth and a nectar plant for the White Peacock butterfly (pictured) and other pollinators.
