Saltmarsh Mallow aka Swamp marsh mallow (Kosteletzkya pentacarpos, previously known as Kosteletzkya virginica) is a perennial shrub that grows to approximately 5 feet. It produces showy, pink flowers if planted in full sun in acidic to neutral sandy soil or organic material (muck) that remains wet. It will withstand occasional inundation. The pretty pink flowers are a great nectar source for hummingbirds, butterflies and other pollinators. Recommended for wildflower gardens.
