Strangler Fig (Ficus aurea) is a tall evergreen tree that may grow 40-60 (75) feet tall by 20-60 feet wide. It produces yellow/red/brown fruit throughout the year, especially spring. It prefers partial to full shade in loam, organic material (muck) lime rock or sandy soil with neutral to alkaline PH. It is the larval host for the rudder daggerwing and Antillean daggerwing butterflies.
