Wax Myrtle Don's Dwarf (Morella cerifera “don's dwarf) is a low growing shrub that doesn't flower but produces white, green fruit. It will tolerate full sun or partial shade with wet, to somewhat long dry periods in humus, loam, lime rock, sandy soil. Acidic to circum-neutral soil PH level is preferred. This is the larval host for banded hairstreak and red-banded hairstreak butterflies.
