An evergreen perennial wildflower with showy powderpuff blooms appearing in spring through summer, and grows about 1/2" tall and spreads up to 100', loves part shade to full sun, moist to dry soil and makes an excellent ground cover. It can be used as a turf replacement and mowed. It isn't great for heavy traffic. The cute pink puff flowers with yellow tips are almost whimsical. It is also the host plant for the Little sulphur butterfly. It occurs naturally in open, disturbed areas and along roadsides.
