A fast-growing, non-native shrub from South Africa that is considered "Florida-Friendly" and thrives in the state's warm climate, blooming year-round in warm areas with clusters of pale blue, phlox-like flowers. It requires full to partial sun and can be used as a foundation planting, in containers, or as a ground cover, growing to 6-10 feet tall. The plant attracts butterflies, is fairly drought-tolerant, and will die back to the ground after a freeze but quickly regrows from its roots. This is a host plant for the small Cassius blue butterfly.
