Bring the festive charm of the holiday season into your home with a Christmas Cactus. This vibrant, non-native houseplant is renowned for its beautiful, cascading blooms that bring a splash of color to your winter decor. To keep your Christmas Cactus thriving year-round, place it in a spot that receives bright, indirect light, ideally an east-facing window.
It thrives best in a well-drained potting medium, and you only need to water it when the top inch of soil feels completely dry to the touch. Because the Christmas Cactus actually prefers to be slightly root-bound, it is best to avoid potting it in an overly large container, allowing it to feel snug and secure. Blooms need 12-14 hours of continuous uninterrupted darkness and cooler temps for 6-8 weeks.
