Coastal Plain Willow (Salix caroliniana) is a deciduous tree that can grow to approximately 25-60 feet tall and approximately 20-40 feet wide in wet, aquatic soil. Plant it in a location where the soil will not get extremely dry. It prefers full sun and will produce yellow flowers and showy, white fruit. Coastal Plain Willow is the larval host for the Viceroy and Red spotted purple butterflies.
