
This perennial tree is the host plant for the Giant Swallowtail and other wildlife enjoys its fruit. It may grow to approximately 10-25 ft. tall and wide. It produces showy, white flowers with yellow fruit. Hercules-club (Zanthoxylum clava-herculi) may be planted in full sun or partial shade with moist to dry clay, loam or sandy soil. Wear garden gloves when handling as this tree has thorns.
