Horsetail (Equisetum hyemale) is a perennial, non-flowering grass that can reach approximately 2-4 ft. high with a spread of 1-6 feet. It tolerates full sun or partial shade and prefers moist to wet loam. It makes a great addition to water gardens and retention ponds.
