Leavenworth's Goldenrod (Solidago leavenworthii) is a perennial flower that may grow up to 4 feet tall. It produces yellow flowers that bloom summer to fall and white fruit. Plant it in full sun to part shade in well-drained clay, loam or sand that is mildly acidic to mildly alkalkine. This plant will not only attract a wide variety of pollinators, especially bees, it will attract many other wildlife! Birds feed on the insects collecting pollen and nectar, the flowers attract mice and deer, songbirds eat the seeds, and it provides cover for small animals such as lizards, skunks, snakes and mice.
