Daisy Fleabane (Erigeron quercifolius), also known as Southern Fleabane or Oakleaf Fleabane is short-lived perennial. This delicate wildflower boasts small blooms, about 1/4-1/2” in diameter, with many thin, white to pinkish-purplish ray florets surrounding a broad, dense cluster of yellow disk florets.
Oakleaf Fleabane typically flowers in spring and summer, attracting a variety of pollinators to its charming blooms. It thrives in dry to moist sandy soils and can grow in full sun to moderate shade. With a growth habit of 12–24”, this plant is easily propagated by seed; however, be mindful that it can become weedy if left to its own devices.
