Purple Coneflower's (Echinacea purpurea) is a perennial with pinkish purple flowers that can grow as high as 3-5 feet. It requires full sun and moist to dry soil to thrive. It is heat, humidity and drought tolerant. Purple coneflower’s stems are strong enough to support perching finches, sparrows, indigo buntings, cardinals and chickadees, all of which will eat the flower’s seeds.
