Roundpod St. Johns Wort is a short-lived perennial which occurs state-wide in Florida. . This small shrub is most commonly found on the outskirts of wetlands including wet flatwoods, cypress swamps and flatwoods ponds. It favors full sun to part shade and wet to moist sandy soil. While this plant only reaches 2-3 feet, you will not miss its vibrant yellow clusters of blooms in the summer months. Roundpod St. Johns Wort can be propagated by seed but many have found it difficult. It is a food source birds and mammals with its seeds and foilage to wildlife and a great wetlands plant for our pollinators!
