A long-lived perennial shrub that blooms showy white flowers all year while attracting our native pollinators. It does best in full sun to partial shade. Many pollinators are attracted to the nectar from small blue butterflies to large swallowtail species.  It is possible for this plant to get up to 6-10' tall and wide once very well established. It is a fast-growing plant but it is relatively short-lived, so replacement is necessary every few years. It is moderately drought- and salt-tolerant. The plant is a prolific self-seeder. Flowers are tiny but very abundant.  It requires well-drained, moist to moderately dry sandy or calcareous soils in zones 9B-11. It can be pruned for desired size.
