White Yarrow is an evergreen, short lived perennial. When given full sun to partial shade and moist soil this plant can grow up to 3 ft. It can tolerate dry spells but is not considered drought tolerant. Birds add Yarrow to their nests to protect from parasites. This plant is also a wonderful nectar source for birds and bees. The young leaves of this plant are edible and resemble spinach-best served cooked. If you have sensitive skin , it is important to wear gloves. Prolonged contact may cause skin irritation and photosensitivity. White Yarrow is toxic to cats, dogs and horses.
