Yellow Canna (Canna flaccida) is a long-lived perennial that grows to 3-6 feet tall by 4 feet wide. It produces yellow flowers that will tolerate full sun or partial shade. It is considered an aquatic plant that will thrive in moist clay, loam, organic material (muck) or sand (but not in an area that floods). It is the larval host for the Brazilian skipper butterfly.
